Saint Sophia’s award-winning dance ministry involves young people from ages 5 to18. We have three performance groups: Titans, Pegasus, and Olympus, and two Hellenic Dance competition groups. Each group features their own unique style of music and dance.
All our troupes share a common mission of bringing to light the culture and heritage of Ancient Greece, while proudly representing Saint Sophia. They master traditional dances that originated throughout Greece, from the southern island of Crete up through the northern region of Thraki.
This ministry maintains a focus of orthodoxy through dance and faith and asks all participants to attend Church and Sunday School as regularly as possible.
The James and Mary Pechewlys Philoptochos Scholarship for $1,000 is accepting applications for the 2024/25 college year. Applications must be received in the Church office by June 1, 2024.
For more information, please contact the church office at (305) 854-2922.
There are many ways to contribute and every donation, large or small, directly supports the mission of our parish.
